We visited St Maarten last year on Wonder of the Seas. Last year we hired a taxi at the port to give us an island tour and go to Maho Beach to see the planes. We saw iguanas, Orient beach and saw a topless lady and had lunch at Sunset Bar at Maho beach.
I had wanted to book Captain Bob’s Snorkel tour, but got vetoed by the family.
This year we were off the boat at around 9am and took the water taxi which was $7/each. We looked around a little and there were tons of chairs for rent at this time. We decided we wanted to visit Maho beach again to see the planes so hired a regular taxi for $10/each. We really justed wanted the experience of the water taxi, but it’s really not necessary.

We arrived around 10am and were able to rent chairs $30 for 2 ($60 for 4) and an umbrella front row to the ocean. Soon after they were all sold. The water was really rough today and waves knocked me to the ground. I could not get all the sand out of my hair!

We shared a pizza and it was really good. We watched lots of planes go by. We left around 2pm and shared a taxi for $32 for 4 of us.

We shopped a little in port and headed back to the ship. That night we had dinner in MDR and then went to silent disco at Surfside. After we went to the Aqua show. It was good, but I think the one on Wonder may be better. The skateboarders were just okay and one fell. The divers were really good.
