3 Day Bar Harbor Itinerary; one day travel through Maine; 4 nights Boston Itinerary

 We flew into Bangor, Maine and stayed at Bar Harbor Inn.

Day 1

Arrive Bangor and pick up rental car and drive to Bar Harbor (approx 1 hour )

Check In Bar Harbor Inn

Walk to Sand Bar - check tides - hour and half before low tide 

Grab ice cream in town

Drive to Acadia National Park - use Guide Along App

Jordan Pond House stop - popovers and drinks

Cadillac Mountain - make reservations ahead of time - we had 6:30pm reservations for sunset

Back to Bar Harbor Inn for s’mores 

Day 2

Acadia National Park - used Guide Along App - Loop Road

Thunder Hole in Acadia - try to time 2 hours before high tide

Rain hindered more exploring

Geddy’s in Bar Harbor for lunch

Ice cream and shopping in Bar Harbor

Lobstering and Seal Watch tour with Bar Harbor Whale watch (booked that day, Lulu sold out) 4pm

Dinner Terrace Grill at Bar Harbor Inn

S’mores at hotel

Day 3

Jordan Pond House early lunch 11am

Jordan Pond hike (approx 2 hours)

Hull Visitor Center

Pool time at hotel

Dinner Reading Room at Bar Harbor Inn - had reservations

S’mores again at hotel

Day 4 - Travel Day - Bar Harbor to Wells, Maine

Made several stops

Camden - had lunch Camden Deli - good views, saw waterfall

Freeport - LL Bean Flagship store - had fly fishing demonstration and s’mores

Portland Head Light - most photographed light house

Kennebunkport - cute town - dinner at Clam Shack, ice cream 

Just slept and showered at Hampton Inn Wells

Day 5 

Drive to Gloucester, Maine for whale watch with 7 Seas at 1:30

Lunch Blue Collar Lobster, Gloucester

Whale Watch - 1:30 - saw several whales

Drive to Boston

Turn in rental car at airport and Uber to hotel, Boston Marriott Copley Place

Uber to original Regina pizza

Modern Pastry 

Uber back to hotel

Day 6

Duck tour 9:30am - pre booked, early bird discount

Lunch Union Oyster House - oldest restaurant

Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market

Paul Revere House

Pool time at hotel

Dinner Trattoria Il Panino in North End

Mike’s Pasty

Day 7

10:15 Boston Tea Party Museum (booked night before)

Bleacher Bar - drink

Fenway Tour - 1pm - pre booked

Lunch Bleacher Bar

Shopping at Team Store

VIP tour 5:15 Fenway Park

Game Red Sox v Astros

Took T back to hotel - jam packed

Day 8

Cheers - lunch

Acorn Street, Beacon Hill

Fenway - in early to watch batting practice

Game Red Sox v Astros

Stayed after game for autographs 

Back to hotel - Uber

Day 9

Early flight back home
