We arrived in Maui and wouldn’t leave until the next day, so we had lots of options. We had come here on our honeymoon and did the Road to Hana so decided we needed to do it again with the kids! We used the Guide Along app. We got off the ship early and took a taxi to get our rental car. We had lunch at a little spot on the Road to Hana with cute little shops.

We stopped at the Black Sand beach for a bit. We had reservations to be here.
We passed more waterfalls and headed to the Pipiwa Trail. We got here kind of late and were one of the last ones to leave.

It was dark driving back, which was a little scary. We parked at the airport and took a taxi back. We grabbed dinner on the ship at Cadillac Diner. The food was fine - nothing great, not terrible.
The next day we got up early for a Surf lesson with Swell Surf. Everyone was able to get up except me. It was really hard and I gave up! I was exhausted from paddling out there. This was just a single guy with a Go Pro attached to the surfboard. I would probably pick a bigger company where there’s more help and a separate photographer, but it was a cool experience.
We then headed to Kannapali Beach and parked at Whaler’s Village. We brought our snorkel gear and headed to Black Rock. We loved it and saw turtles and fish. It was great because my daughter likes to be near shore. She could build sandcastles and we could still snorkel. My husband jumped off the rocks.
We had lunch at Hula Grill with nice views. And then headed to Lahaina and shopped a bit and got Hawaiian Ice.

Dinner tonight was at Jefferson Bistro on the ship. It was delicious and we wore our matching Hawaii outfits we bought in Lahaina.
