Kona - port Pride of America

Kona was a tender port. We originally booked a zodiac raft to Captain Cook, but we cancelled it and decided to snorkel on our own at 2- step. Next time I would probably go to Captain Cook as it’s supposed to be some of the best snorkeling in the world. We got up early and caught an early tender. We took a taxi to the airport for our rental car. We stopped at Safeway for snacks and then headed to 2 step. We didn’t see any turtles, but did see some tour boats. We saw some fish and sea urchins. Some others spotted dolphins in the distance, but we missed them.

We then visited Place of Refuge next door for a bit and then the Painted Church. We had visited both these places on our honeymoon.

We then decided to have lunch at the Four Seasons, where we stayed for our honeymoon. It was great coming back here. The resort is gorgeous.

We then returned our rental car and took a taxi back to port. We shopped a little and got several souvenirs from the ABC store and headed back to the ship.
